100th Post BAG GIVEAWAYS!

GIVEAWAY NOW CLOSED

Wow, this is my hundredth post and I am having a fantastic time sharing what I’ve made and the antics of my lovely little boys.

I started this blog back in January to showcase the little craft works I made during those times when my 2 little guys were napping or playing on their own.

Then I discovered I liked making things and have had the opportunity to sell some of my stuff. I’ve made bags, children’s hats and booties and now also women’s accessories.

I thought I’d share the love and give those that come by to stop and read my little blurbs a nice little treat.

For this 100th blog, I am having

TWO BAG GIVEAWAYS!!!

The first is a Yellow and White Clutch Keychain Wristlet

This clutch is in the medium size measuring:

7.5″ wide x 4.5″ high x 2″ deep (19cm x 11cm x 5cm)

It comes with a detachable keychain wristlet strap with a clip/fast ring than can be used on its own. This clutch is big enough to hold your phone, cards, and some cash.

The second one is a Camera Case Wristlet

This adorable case is a handy little wristlet to hold your camera in style. It features one main pocket on the front to hold your camera and one back pocket for your trinkets, like extra memory card and batteries.

The strap is just the right length to slip over your wrist or loop through your belt loop or handbag.

You can also use it to carry your phone, keys and cash.

It is padded with batting to provide some protection for your camera.

NB: Camera and memory card NOT included in the Giveaway.

Wristlet Clutch Bags

I wanted to make a nice cute little clutch for myself and I saw this free downloadable pattern for a cute little clutch purse from KwikSew and I had to make it.

I used left over upholstery fabric from cushions covers I made a while back. I used another wooden bracelet from my jewellery stash as a handle – I omitted the piping edging. It turned out well as my wallet fitted perfectly in it, plus my mobile phone and keys. With the bracelet as the handle, I just slipped it on and didn’t have to worry about leaving it behind or having to have my husband hold it for me – perfect!

As it is a free pattern, I first made sure I got permission to be able sell the bags from this pattern, and the manager of KwikSew Australia has advised me I can as long as I mention the pattern is a free KwikSew one – done!

Yesterday, I bought a few bargains from Cotton On and Cotton On Kids. I saw these cute floral cotton drill skirts for $5 each and bought the biggest sizes to get as much fabric from it. I also saw these cute little girl’s necklaces (leather string with circle and oval rings) – great addition to my bags.

I made wristlet bags from these skirts and used the circular rings + also 3 other ones from some spare fabrics on hand.

Small Buttercup “Red Candy” Wrislet

I saw this nice red and white stripe fabric from Lincraft, so I thought I’d buy it to make a little buttercup bag. I also added a red zipper to this one and instead of a fabric wristlet strap, I used a wooden bracelet I hadn’t worn for a long while.  I also added darts at the bottom of the bag to make it wider at the bottom rather than a flat bag. Turned out quite cute.
