For the last week, I’ve had the song “Baby Love” by Diana Ross in my head … no, no bun in the oven or anything, just been making lots of baby things.
I succumbed to buying the fancy ruffled diaper covers by tie dye diva from youcanmakethis.com

Here are some of the ones I’ve made (available in my etsy store)
These are sizes 0-3 months.
I bought quite a bit of cotton spotmania fabrics from Lincraft and they have come in very handy with the new baby range.
I’ve made a gift set with the Ruffles Bot-bot Nappy Covers:
Ruffled Bot-bot Nappy Cover and Apple Baby Bib Set
Size 3 – 6 months Ruffled Bot-bot Nappy Cover and Ruffle Sleeve Singlet Set – Navy and Yellow Polka Dots
I added cute little ruffles for sleeves on a plain white singlet and a fabric yo-yo embellishment – just too adorable.
A 3rd set (yet to add to my shop) is this cute black and white polka ruffled bot-bot nappy cover and matching tunic top.
The pattern of the top is from a book my friend Shaye gave me for my birthday – Making Baby’s Clothes by Rob Merrett
So many cute things in here to make.
I’ve got another couple of ruffled bot-bot nappy covers to make but taking a break today.
Here are a few of the gift sets I’ve made for new arrivals.
This one is in size 0-3 months and it’s going to be for a little girl named Charlotte. I added a cute little piggy with a tutu (inspired by a tutorial from Creature Comforts), and a little spider with embroidered web – it has a matching little baby moccasins in white with red flowers.
- Available in my etsy store
This set also comes with a baby bib and earflap beanie.
Another gift set is in size 6-12 months – Penguin tutu t-shirt, skirted nappy cover and baby moccasins
With apple and pear baby bibs.
Also had an order from Babies Favourite Things for my baby bibs.
And finally, been making Josh more undies. Here’s one with a #3 appliqued on it – when I showed it too him, he wasn’t too happy that the number 3 wasn’t in green (his favourite colour) – ah, you can’t please them all the time hey?
I also bought the pattern for boxer briefs and have made one already. This too is from youcanmakethis.com

Wooh! I’m all babied out. As a break from it, I bought a new pattern from Keyka Lou and already made it this morning. I’ll blog about it later after a nap.
Zzzzzzzzzzzz …
