[CUSTOM} My Teeny-Tiny Coco Chanel Doll®

Firstly, I miss blogging! It was only this Thursday that I truly realised I went back to work full-time, outside of home & Cook You Some Noodles® that is, which was over a year ago now.

I thought I’d still be able to maintain sewing and creating My Teeny-Tiny Dolls® at least on a regular basis. But alas, time outside of normal 9-5 I spend napping or doing more “work”. Don’t get me wrong, I actually enjoy doing extra time on work stuff some nights, it’s not that I have to, but it’s ’cause I want to.

Just need to find some balance as I do miss sewing and creating new things.

So today, I got started on a custom request from one of my regular customers.

She bought a book for her little one – Little People, Big Dreams – Coco Chanel by Isabel Sanchez Vegara, illustrated by Ana Albero

And wanted a My Teeny-Tiny Coco Chanel Doll® version. So here she is

Custom My Teeny-Tiny Football Coach Doll®

A mate of mine from work wanted me to make a My Teeny-Tiny Doll® of him in the football uniform of the club he coaches in.

Ordinarily, this would have been an easy custom make, but he has a nice long “viking” beard 🙂

Now I have done a My Teeny-Tiny Doll® with a beard in the past …

.

… but My Teeny-Tiny Obi Wan Doll® only had a short beard.

So got my thinking cap on yesterday, did a few drafts of the new beard pattern, and after a couple of tries, ta-dah!

I did a couple of Instagram teasers yesterday

.

And once I got the beard right, I added the custom transfers of “Coach” and the number “5″ on the back, as well as the football club’s emblem on the front of the “football jersey”.

.

This My Teeny-Tiny Doll®’s beard has polyfill stuffing, so it’s nice and soft. Anxious for my work mate to see it tomorrow – like all the other times I make custom orders for you guys. But, very happy with him, so hope my work mate is too 🙂

I’ll try to get a picture of the two of them together.

.

This inspired me to make another bearded My Teeny-Tiny Doll® – a lumberjack version as I had a spare teeny-tiny beanie laying about. I’ll show you him a little later on in the week.

In the meantime, hope you all had a lovely weekend and good luck and have to those with the kiddies about during the school holidays 🙂

My Teeny-Tiny Doll® Harry

I finally got around to making a My Teeny-Tiny Doll® Harry. First, I tried knitting his scarf at first …

.

… but that would take too long just to make one. So I decided to sew my own striped fabric.

.

Which turned out to be a success.

.

Then worked my way to actually making the My Teeny-Tiny Doll® Harry himself.

.

And then made his hooded cloak.

.

He turned out quite well – if I do say so myself 🙂

This version …

.

… is available now in my eBay store as a “Made to Order”. Click here for the direct listing.

And click here for the version WITH the Cloak.

Hope you think he’s cute as much as I do 🙂

My Teeny-Tiny Doll® Macey

Remember the #ShowYourStripes socks I posted on my Facebook page

.

And on my Instagram page

.

The story behind it was, a lady at work for her farewell had these socks available to help raise funds for Ronald McDonald House Randwick hashtags #25for25 #ShowYourStripes #forRMHR. I got extra ones, and thought that I would make a My Teeny-Tiny Doll® or two and auction them to raise funds for the Ronald McDonald House Randwick (RMHR).

I did make one last weekend and she said a quick hello!

.

I was just waiting for RMHR’s fundraising approval and I received it today – thanks Jaclyn if you’re reading this 🙂 So now I can reveal her properly.

Introducing My Teeny-Tiny Doll® Macey

.

Her cute teeny-tiny beanie is made from the toe part of the red and white striped socks. I also made her in the Ronald McDonald classic colours of red, yellow and white.

I will be auctioning her off in my eBay store and donating 100% of the winning bid to Ronald McDonald House Randwick

“Since opening in 1991, Ronald McDonald House Randwick has provided a ‘home away from home’ for 32 families a night, every night. We also provide all the facilities that you would have at home, so you can travel light.

… the house provides more than just the practical necessities of life. When families have to travel far from home to receive medical care for their sick child, finding affordable accommodation in an unfamiliar city only adds to their stress and anxiety.  So when families’ lives have been turned upside down, we offer a warm, welcoming place to stay that is supportive and understanding.  We try to offer a little bit of ‘normal’ when life is disrupted, painful, and confusing.

The role of our caring staff and volunteers is to ‘lighten the families’ load’ and to ensure that they are offered the help and support they need to be able to focus on what really matters – their family.”

So mine, and My Teeny-Tiny Doll® Macey’s hat goes off to RMHR and all their wonderful dedicated volunteers.

.

She is available now to bid on in my eBay store – click here for the listing. She will be up for 5 days and will be posted 1 business day after the winning bidder pays via PayPal.

Once the PayPal payment comes through I will be donating 100% of proceed to the Ronald McDonald House Randwick.

You can also donate directly to the Ronald McDonald House – click here.
