Ultie the Deer

Josh’s school is holding a fundraising trivia night along with a silent auction next Friday and I was asked if I wanted to donate one of my creations.

So here is my contribution … “Ultie” the Deer

.

I have named him Ultie from Ultimo, part of the City of Sydney, where back in 1804, the surrounding land was manicured to resemble an English estate, complete with deer imported from India.

Here are some earlier pics prior to final additional features. Made using a pattern by Shtuchka

.

Hope he gets lots of good bids 🙂

Wantable & My Teeny-Tiny Doll® Mandy

Hi everybody. Back from my few days off and have enjoyed it doing things with my boys, cleaning my bedroom and even making something to showcase my jewellery.

.

The reason why I wanted to have a place to organise my jewellery is because I have subscribed to Wantable.

.

They “navigate the world of fashion and beauty to bring the latest trends, personalised just for you”. They have 4 categories: Make-up, Accessories, Intimates and newly introduced Fitness. They “create unique customer profiles by asking a series of product and personality questions, then use this data to introduce customers to assortments of products perfectly suited to their personal taste”.

There are two different options for Wantable members. Either you can choose to purchase a single box at a cost of US$40 or you can be a monthly subscription member at a cost of US$36 each month (shipping to Australia is US$10).

I ordered my first month (also keep in mind, their season is opposite to ours, but I guess with jewellery it won’t be too obvious) and also, was able to track my purchase order with their great tracking system which is even linked to Australia Post’s tracking system once it gets here.

So here is what I received for the month of October

.

From top L-R (clockwise): Lucy Earrings (silver hoop complete with rhinestones); Cece Earrings (great completer to your everyday classic outfit); Corrine Watch (multi tone link band with leather closure) and Carissa Necklace (turquoise accents add a pop of colour to the silver arrow design). The 4 items have a total retail value of US$68 and I love the surprise element of not knowing what you’ll get each month.

Let me know in the comments below what you think of this monthly subscription box service. Are you already a subscriber? Is this something you’d want to give a try? Can’t wait to hear your thoughts.

.

Now, better get back to some CYSN business. I finished My Teeny-Tiny Doll® Mandy today who is a little bit Halloween attired.

.

Still thinking of whether to add a witch’s cape and broomstick to her. What do you think?

.

Either way, I’ll make her available this Sunday evening.

That’s it for now everybody, have a great day!

My Teeny-Tiny Doll® Chloe

2nd week of school holidays starting tomorrow, so the sewing time is stolen in between entertaining the boys.

I managed to make My Teeny-Tiny Doll® Chloe and I’ll have her available later this afternoon.

My Teeny-Tiny Doll® Chloe.

I’ll have her available in my bigcartel shop at 5pm (AEST) today – countdown timer here. She’ll be AU$55.00 + shipping

Hope to see you then.

Lil’ Sis My Teeny-Tiny Doll®

I would like to introduce you to the newest member of the My Teeny-Tiny Doll® family

ls mttd

Lil’ Sis MTTD.

She’s a bit shy at the moment, but my little Josh has named her Lil’ Sis MTTD Sally. She is a great MY FIRST MTTD for the littlest and youngest member of the family as she has no removable parts and has a little rattle in her tummy.

I’ll make a few of her and make them available by end of week. She is just way too cute at 8″ tall – or rather, not so tall 😛

Puppy Softie and Baby Bib

Josh’s Year 1 teacher will be taking maternity leave soon, so I wanted to make her a cute little gift.

Her are 2 of my go-to gifts to make from Precious Patterns: Baby Animal Softies

and Baby Animal Bibs (found in youcanmakethis.com)

Baby Animal Bibs

I decided on the cute puppy ones and made it in neutral colours as the sex of the baby is unknown.

Woof-woof! Have a great day

Zachy’s Bird

I use a utensil holder for my scissors and there is a little bird on top of it.

.

He’s loving birds at the moment and “tweet, tweets” everytime he sees one. Problem is, he tries to climb my cutting table to touch the little bird on top of the scissors holder.

So I thought, I’d better make him one. I bought a felt bird plush pattern from typing with tea and quickly made one for Zachy.

.

I think he loves it!

.

Have a great day all!
